This project focused on practical vulnerability management processes within a home lab environment.

Project Activities:

  • Detected vulnerabilities using the Nessus scanner on both Windows & Linux Virtual Machines (VMs).
  • Analysed and prioritized identified vulnerabilities based on CVSS scoring and the CVE database.
  • Developed a risk-based remediation strategy.
  • Created vulnerability reports outlining findings and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Implemented the necessary remediations on the affected VMs.

This hands-on experience covered the core cycle of vulnerability detection, analysis, reporting, and remediation.
